![]() NP is pleased to announce its involvement in two projects that are getting underway in the New Year: Boston Marine Industrial Park (BMIP) Master Plan The Boston Redevelopment Authority/Economic Development and Industrial Corporation are undertaking an update of the 1999 Master Plan for the South Boston industrial waterfront (BMIP). This plan guides future infrastructure investment and overall development of this 191 acre park. A key challenge of the 2014 Master Plan effort, which is different from the prior plan, is that the BMIP now sits adjacent to the city’s Innovation District – an area with intensive commercial and residential development activity and pressure. NP is part of the Utile team that includes HDR, Nelson Nygaard, Durand and Anastas, and Noble, Wickersham and Heart. NP is the lead firm on the market and economic analysis of the project as well as assisting Utile in overall project guidance and leadership. Next Generation CT Impact Study The Town of Mansfield, in partnership with the State of CT and UCONN, is undertaking a study of the impact of the expansion of university and private facilities on the town as part of UCONN’s Next Generation CT initiative. Next Gen CT represents $1.6 billion in targeted investments in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with a focus on facilities, faculty and students over the next decade. NP will responsible for the intergovernmental revenue aspects as well as overall guidance to the project lead. We will be working on a team led by Econsult Solutions from Philadelphia along with FHI.
