PROJECT SNAPSHOT
Medical District Plan Garland, TX NP prepared the Medical District redevelopment plan for the city of Garland, Texas (246k/pop). The project is a result of the Baylor White Hospital closure in 2018 and the launch of a new VA Medical Campus. The goal of the Master Plan project was to leverage the VA’s presence and investment to bring medical services back to Garland. To begin, NP conducted in-depth research into the regional medical and commercial economic opportunities. The NP team led a substantial outreach program including a series of interviews with stakeholders and workshops with the city team to understand development parameters, industry needs, and regulatory rules.
